It is time that we stand up and demand that Happy hour be relabled as the unHappy Hour.
I refuse to go to Happy Hour. At least not Happy Hour, in a bar. It’s not that I don’t enjoy a drink now and then. I don’t like Happy Hour because I have trust issues.
My trust issues with bars come from the fact that bars cannot add. I think they drink too much there, so they lose track of time. They advertise that Happy Hour is from 3pm to 6pm. Last time I went to School, three hours is three times longer than one hour. I guess if you drink a lot, then three hours can seem like one hour.
When I put aside my trust issues and I go and have a drink, I like it. For a while. Then after a few drinks, people get sleepy. Well, I get sleepy. Then other people get loud. Okay, I get loud. Loud and sleepy. That’s me.
What I don’t understand is when we drink for three hours with strangers, happiness does not occur. Everytime I have watched three hours of drinking, the result is Anger Hour. And then Hangover Hour.
I think that all of this is funny. Happy Hour takes place at a bar, it lasts for three hours, it ends with anger and barfing… and you have to pay for it! I call that a good time. For me. Because I am asleep.
