  1. Wow Sean. What a lot of research you have done. To say that you are a smart guy is an understatement, your intelligence and undertanding is really communicated in this work. I don’t pretend to understand a lot of it but some of the points made are very good. You know what I have overcome and I like to think that I have empolyed some of the coping skills mentioned. I do believe that the Lord has done a great deal of healing in me but that is only my opinion. Being well mentally, spiritually and physically is very important to me and has helped in giving me a positive attitude towards life. This is important to every human being but some do not or are not able to use this as a help in their life situations. Thanks you for sharing this with us.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. I am certain you have employed many positive approaches that have contributed to your healing. Faith is a significant part of any healing. Healing can be a creative work and it sounds like you have been re/created!

  2. I really appreciate the ties between positive psychology practices and resiliency theory. I view resiliency as being the internal and external strengths, skills, and supports one possesses that helps navigate life’s obstacles and adversities. When we understand the unmet need(s) that lead one towards harmful addictive behaviours, we can also begin to explore how meeting deep needs through fortifying self-esteem and efficacy, building gratitude and optimism, and forming meaningful social connections can help set a new stage for beneficial behaviours and habits to emerge. These practices essentially serve to increase resiliency factors and to strengthen one’s chances of overcoming challenges in a safe and successful fashion.

    1. Alana, Thank you for your post. Resiliency is a dance between the internal and external strengths, skills and supports. I also find that it is fluid, changing based on many factors. what I think is key is a belief that we have strength, and a belief that we are worth accessing support, help and the ideas that we need. Keep it real.

  3. First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Kudos!|掲示板}

    1. Super great question. I usually just sit down and start writing. I know that the first few paragraphs will probably be trash. I just write and write. I try to avoid editing and just let the words flow. AFter a while, I am getting more of my heart out and the words become better. That’s just how it works for me. You may need to waste time to get to what is really valuable. Inside your heart is something the world needs to hear. If it takes you only 10-15 minutes, be thankful. Some people take a lifetime and never get to what is really important. I appreciate the time you took to write this. If you have any topic ideas, shoot them my way. Sean
