In Canada, marijuana is about to be legalized. Just in time for my teenager’s 18th birthday.
I know that it’s just a coincidence, but forever this will be known as the generation that legalized pot in my country. Some people I know think that legalization will usher in a new wave of brain dead stoners and may damage young minds. It may.
Others feel that legalization may spike pot use for a while, but most people will land on their feet. Again, we will see.

What everyone does agree on is that pot effects everyone differently. I think it is reasonable to be cautious and to be educated. The info-graphic below can help us all with information about marijuana and it’s effects.
If you have a teenager, I suggest you talk with them about it. How we as parents approach our kids can make the is the most significant rule we could ever have. I know it sounds simple… and it is so, so hard but with teenagers, your relationship with your teenager should be the only rule you need.
