What do you think?
If you cast a beautiful net, what comes your way? Life is not full of beautiful things like you may have believed… or wanted to believe when you were young. In reality, life is a mix of things. Some good, some hard, and some VERY hard.
If you are committed to not seeing, you won’t see the hard stuff, but you will also miss that life can still be full even if we did not get what we wanted.
I have found that we can miss what life has for us if we focus only on how life did not give us what we wanted. How did I come across this gem of a life-lesson? Mostly because I have spent too much time wishing, dreaming or focused on the “what-didn’t-happens.”
I had a year or two where it felt as if I was, unbeknownst to me, signed up as a sparring partner with Life as my opponent. My clock was cleaned, my bells were wrung, my sense was knocked out… and back into me. It was as if I saw myself for the first time. I knew then that if I spent more time trying not to see, that’s exactly what would continue to happen. If you are committed to not seeing, you won’t see the hard stuff, but you will also miss that life can still be full even if we did not get what we wanted.
I’d love to hear about your experience and how you have made your life what it is right now… in spite of what your life is right now.
